Complete with synaptic vesicles carrying neurotransmitters, are also presented clearly and dramatically. Well-represented cellular organelles, branching dendrites, communicating synapses, and a myelin-wrapped axon with node of Ranvier are among the highlights of this model. A section of the axon lifts off to show the layers of the myelin sheath, the neurolemma, and the Schwann cell that formed them. Mounted on a sturdy base.
