The kit includes laser-cut basswood parts, braided nylon twine, screws, a paper clip, and instructions. The catapult launches small projectiles for experiments in projectile motion and trajectory, and it demonstrates concepts such as vectors and potential and kinetic energy. The kit reinforces technology, engineering, and math concepts as students build and experiment with model catapults. The finished catapult measures approximately 2-1/4 x 2 x 4-1/2 inches (H x W x D).
