I bought an assortment of springs from Seller to see if I could replace a weak action spring on a High Standard Shadow autoloader shotgun. The cut to length and the 0.048" wire diameter is good for this use. The High Standard Shadow was failing to return to battery, and fire the second shot, without pushing the bolt forward to release the trigger cutoff mechanism. New spring fixed the FTF on the second shots.

Installation requires cutting the spring to length, and a little judicious grinding of the diameter on the first 3 coils to provide clearance between the action spring and guide tube. The spring diameter only needs to be reduced in the area of the follower piston. This is not difficult, if you have a little mechanical aptitude. I spent about an hour total replacing the spring including dis-assembly and reassembly twice.

This is the only option I know of to get the High Standard Shadow and the Weatherby Centurion type shotguns, made by Nikko of Japan, in the 1970s, working again; since factory springs are out of manufacture, and are not available anywhere I could find...
