I am a high school physics teacher and I purchased one of these for my lab. It works very well. There is currently one other review that indicates that there were no instructions with it. I can't recall if I got any instructions, but honestly, they really aren't necessary. If you understand the ballistic pendulum (and I don't know why you'd be shopping for one if you didn't), it's a very simple device. And after comparing prices for a while, I haven't found any that are a better deal.

I recommend this, and I'll probably be buying more in the future.
