The A10 has a natural cast for accurate appearance, with individually inserted teeth for realistic dentition. The model is hand assembled for durability. The A10 is mounted at the pelvis on a five-foot stainless steel roller stand for convenient display, and has a plastic cover to protect against damage. The skeleton consists of roughly 200 bones of approximate realistic weight, and is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic, which is corrosion resistant, lightweight, and has high strength. It's pretty accurate, although it's not 100% detailed (ex. the sacral hiatus is not shown). It's sturdy and movable at the joints, and you can disassemble or reassemble the different body parts as you go along. All in all, this product is great for the price. I'm extremely happy with it.

If you are looking for a good quality but economically feasible skull for an art project or Halloween, look no further. This resin skull is definitely both Budget and Fourth Quality, but is far above the quality of anything you will find in stores. Detail of seams, graduation of bones, teeth, even areas of tendon attachment are represented fairly well, and the material used to make it is incredibly durable.
The only complaint I have is the hinges and the closing clasp being inferior quality, but then again you get what you pay for. Replacing the hinges and clasp with something better shouldn't be a problem.
Overall, this is a steal.

Life Size Model Human Skull Review

I found this very helpful studying for an osteology course. I had to mark some of the foramina and canals with a dark pen to be able to visualize them better, as some of them did not perforate all the way through. The hooks holding on the calvaria bent right away so take care with it. I figure a course costs X amount of dollars, and books are X amount, this was a bargain and saved me having to try to find time to go sit in the bone lab on campus. I am a disabled adult student and the convenience of being able to handle a life-sized skull to learn from is a great thing. My whole family has enjoyed poking about it also.

My First Skeleton (Tiny Tim) 16 1/2" Plastic Model Review

Tiny Tim may be small but he's very cool. The perfect present for anyone who has a budding interest in anatomy. He's not the best quality of plastic but he's not the most expensive skeleton. He's not medically acurate either but once again, he's not that expensive.

All in all you get what you pay for with this little guy and I'm very happy with mine. Make sure you check all the moving parts to be sure he's in working order. Mine wasn't when I first got him but I e-mailed the company and they called me 30 minutes later and sent me a replacement in the mail.

Very good company, worth what you paid for skeleton, great present for a person who's interested.

LEGO Education DUPLO Tech Machines Set 745002 (95 Pieces) Review

I hesitated ordering it based upon the price but with the other great reviews and knowing how much my boys love Legos and tools, I took a chance. My sons, age 5 and 6, just love this set!! They just played with it for the first time today for the 5 y/o’s birthday. The pieces are so sturdy, and since they screw together they can actually play with them without them falling apart (as opposed to traditional Lego bricks) There are only specific instructions for 2 machines, but it is fun to watch the kids stare at the pictures to figure out how the other machines were made and figure it out for themselves.

Both boys declared at bedtime tonight that this would be the first thing they played with tomorrow.

Very pricey, but I think they will play with this for a long time and this will be definitely be a keeper for the grandchildren some day. The quality is phenomenal.

Muscular System 3D Raised Relief Chart Review

This chart is an excellent reference tool. As stated by others, the print is indeed tiny. If I wanted to use it during a session with a client, I'd be fumbling for my glasses if I needed to know names of things. However because of the 3-D, I can follow the muscles and see the grain... very useful. I especially like the cut-away work, enabling me to see the different layers of muscle. Clean, safe, tough and extremely economical chick brooder the EcoGlow is ideal for up to 20 chicks or ducklings and suitable for any waterfowl or gamebird chicks. Great for classroom hatches. Brinsea EcoGlow Brooder for Chicks or Ducklings Review

I've been using this for the last year and a half, brooding six rounds of chicks. The good news is that you're going to save a lot of electricity --- about $11 per four week period (which is about how long chicks need it) at our energy prices of 12.3 cents/kwh. So, brood six sets of chicks and the ecoglow brooder has paid for itself.

The other good news is that you won't risk burning down your coop. We almost started a fire once when our heat lamp fell in the bedding. Another time, rain splashed onto a different bulb, causing it to explode --- if we hadn't noticed that, our chicks would have died without a heat source. This brooder just keeps plugging along.

There are a few slight downsides. First, within a week, your chicks will learn to jump up on top. They'll love sitting there, and the brooder will get coated in manure, which you'll have to carefully clean off without submerging the heating unit.

The brooder has three height settings, but you need to be very careful when taking the legs off to change heights. I have a feeling that six or ten height changes will be enough to make the plastic legs break, so I usually step up the height by setting the legs on bricks instead.

The final downside is that chicks fresh from the incubator won't dry off enough under one of these if your interior temperature is below about 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Most of you probably keep your houses warmer than that, though, and once your chicks are a few days old, the ecoglow is enough for them down into the forties.

Those caveats aside, this is the best product I've found for brooding chicks. I will get another one when mine breaks.
