We were so excited to get this for my daughter's science fair project. As soon as the batteries were in, we tried it, over and over, and started getting an annoying "error beep" After trying about 40 times, we realized it works maybe 2/10 times you try it. Having it directly on your skin seemed to be a factor (some of the time) but this won't be practical for the science fair. You could get a resting heart rate, but after she ran around the room, we tried to get another heart rate (after 3 tries) her heart rate had already slowed down. Bummer!
