I'm building a slit-less spectrograph and needed a concave lens. This fit the bill. You actually get 5 of them which are well packaged for shipping with each wrapped in tissue paper and in it's own little cardboard box. The edges are nicely ground, so no sliced fingers! These are large (75mm is about 3") and sort of heavy. Very nice quality. Also, they're DOUBLE CONCAVE: meaning that each lens is curved INWARD ON BOTH SIDES.

In case you're doing some optical project but unsure what you need: if you hold this right up to your eye everything looks farther away and blurry. If you hold it a foot from you eye or farther things look clear, but SMALLER, like looking into the wrong end of a pair of binoculars. If you lay this lens on a sheet of newspaper the lens will make the text look *slightly* smaller and everything a little darker

The ground edges are frosted looking and ever so *slightly* greenish.
