The kit may work as expected for the price, but there are a couple noteworthy complaints about its performance. The distilling column is rather poor due to the sealing stoppers which do not have the correct bore diameter. This caused my kit to spray everywhere during a test run where I was trying to distill water.

I would seriously consider buying this stuff piecemeal as the quality of each part is less than what Sciplus usually sells. The glassware is of the lowest quality and doesn't make me feel comfortable with the heat involved and the potential for injury.

Look at getting a distillation column elsewhere. Another note is that a Graham Condenser is much better that the one included here.
