Kids go buggy for the Primary Science Catch & View. Catch & View easily transforms from a bug net to an observation tent, complete with an easy-on lid, so kids can catch, observe, and safely release all kinds of critters. Thanks to a telescoping handle, explorers as young as 3 will delight in catching and examining their finds, instilling a lifelong love of science and nature.
Get your kiddos outside and exploring with Catch & View. From moths, butterflies, and dragonflies to beetles, caterpillars, and other creepy crawlies, Catch & View is the perfect tool for little explorers. Simply adjust the telescoping handle to the right length for your child’s arm and set them loose outside. They’ll be chasing and catching in no time. Once they’ve made a catch, attach the easy-on lid and set the observation tent down (in a shady spot, please) for observation.
In addition to being pure outdoor fun, Catch & View is the perfect tool to introduce scientific observation. Take a look at the critter in your observation tent. Ask your child to describe what he or she sees: Does this critter have wings? How many legs does it have? How many parts to its body? Take some guesses about where the critter might live, what it might eat, and what might eat it! Start a bug journal by drawing each catch and helping your child make some notes. When you’re done, open the easy-on lid to gently release your catch back to nature and begin again.

Learning Resources Catch 'N View Review
This item is of decent overall quality, but there a couple features it lacks that would make it an all-star item. First, it is cumbersome to attach and remove the cap. You have to set down the net and use two hands - especially if the user is a little one with little hands - to either fasten or remove the cap. It could have used a handle in the middle or something to make it easier. Second, the telescoping handle is flawed because when the handle is extended - as it is supposed to be whenever it is used - it doesn't stay put for very long, frequently sliding apart and frustrating my 4-year-old. I would recommend a different net. Most of the consumer Reviews tell that the "Learning Resources Catch 'N View" are high quality item.
