This Nice 1615DS single-row radial ball bearing is double shielded and has a nylon cage and precision ground surfaces. It is suitable for applications that require quiet operation and support medium radial loads at speeds up to 5000 rpm. This case-hardened ASTM International 52100 bearing quality steel bearing has a 0.4375" bore diameter, a 1.1250" outside diameter, and a 0.3750" width. Its inside (ID) and outside (OD) diameter, and raceways are ground to a precision of +0.0000 and -0.0005", allowing higher speeds and creating lower friction than comparable-sized roller bearings. Metal shields on both sides of the bearing keep out contaminants such as dirt and grime and hold in the lubricant applied at manufacture. This bearing has a straight bore for fitting to conventional cylindrical shafts and a nylon cage to prevent the balls from coming into contact with each other during use, reducing friction, vibration, and noise.
