My son often has trouble getting to sleep due to either too much brightness or not enough. Night lites are never enough and always near floor level. But now I can tell my son it is time to turn off his desk lamp and he gets excited. We let him cover the shade with this tape. The glow from the shade is so soft and within minutes he is sound asleep. We just turn the lamp on for 30 minutes or so before his bed time and when tuned off the magic begins. It has been known to last all night if you pre charge it long enough. And it saves on the electric bill.

I do agree it does not stick very well. Especially after being exposed to the heat from the lamp after several months. But tape is never meant to permanent and at the price this is a blessing for my child.
