The kit is mounted on full-color cardstock for display purposes, and has a resealable zip lock bag for storage. The kit measures 5-1/2 x 4-1/2 inches (L x W), and specimens measure 1/2 to 3/4" (L). The 2018 is suitable for grades 5 to 9 and ages 10 to 14.

WARNING: this collection is very small. The whole collection is attached to a piece of card stock no more than 6x8 inches and the rocks are about gravel size. The product description DOES indicate the size, but I missed it and was expecting it would look like other commerically available rock collections I have seen. It would be good if the seller/manufacturer would call this a "Miniature Rock Collection."
